The American Scientific Affiliation (ASA) is an international network of Christians who work in the sciences. Members are united by their belief in orthodox Christianity, as defined by the Apostles’ and Nicene creeds, and their commitment to mainstream science. The ASA’s activities include the following:
- Producing a peer-reviewed quarterly journal that publishes scholarly articles on issues of science and faith and book reviews of seminal books published in these areas
- A bi-monthly, web-based magazine with essays, columns, and poetry written by ASA members
- An annual conference in various U.S.-based locations at which approximately 250 members gather each year
- Community support including making recommendations for speakers, homeschool materials, and other resources to churches and other groups
- A private Facebook group that allows members to interact and learn from one another
