Science, particularly evolutionary biology, is often presented as describing a world governed by natural processes that are driven by chance. For example, life is understood to be the result of random mutations and natural selection. Does that mean evolution is without purpose?

He describes how chance and order work in the process of convergence which for him suggests a fundamental purpose in nature. Visit the Purposeful Universe for more from Dr. Kuebler and others on the role of purpose in the book of nature.
