Rachel Held Evans

Rachel Held Evans, who passed away in 2019, was a leading voice for progressive Christians and found that integrating science was critical for keeping her faith. In fact, when we surveyed our audience in 2020, we found she was one of the top voices who had influenced our respondents. We wrote about that in this blog post.

On her own blog, Rachel wrote about her journey to integrate science and faith in a post called “Making Peace with Science“. We would also recommend this 6-minute video as well as a longer podcast she was part of, both recorded by The Tokens Show in Dayton, Ohio. If you are unfamiliar with Rachel’s work, this post honoring her life by Jim Stump at BioLogos gives some insight into the impact of her work.
